Conceptual Photography - Photo Sequences

Recommended Posts

Right, you 'orrible lot, I'm back, so listen up! :9_innocent:

Conceptual photography, how to explain in a few lines? Nah, have a look at the video below (sorry about the initial waffle) and you'll get the idea.
This is not a competition, nor is it to be taken too seriously, it's just a little something to get the grey-matter moving. There's no limit to the amount of submissions you can make, and I'm not going to set a time limit but I will bump the topic regularly for the next month or so to keep it current. I would love for everyone to take the time and get involved.

So, what are you waiting for? Jump to it! :14_relaxed:

If I was to be picky ...I'd like the last image not to be e replica of the first and have the dogeater looking straight at the  camera .. sort of challenging  if you know what I mean ...kinda " well what did you expect !"

I did not think you were criticising.  I really like feedback.  Helps me think about the next time I pick up the camera.  We all need some critique.

I might be working on the morning of the meeting so I cannot say just yet.   ?

So, with this in mind, the last couple of days I thought I'd try it out on one of my usual drives around Pendle and the Ribble Valley, whilst I didn't exactly have it storyboarded, I do now know the area quite well and what I can expect to see - it was the unexpected image I had no idea for.

A Pheasant, A Tarmac Digger-Upper and a view down the Ribble Valley at Sunset. (They're displayed in the order I took them.)

I use a white card for the background. These sets were shot in RAW.  I adjust / check the white balance in all of the images together in ACR to get as consistent a white balance as I can.   I shoot these to get them as correct as possible in camera including setting white balance in camera.  Only small adjustments need to be made to the RAW file meaning I have no further white balance checks to make.

Thanks for that, I imagine some decent lighting doesn't hurt either!!

This one I'd sorta planned out prior from today, I had 3 shots out of the 4 I thought I would need allready in mind, so just need a fourth - which I was pretty sure I could get.

Anyway after looking though all the shots, the image I'd planned for the out of the ordinary (a train), didn't actually work.. I ended up with 5 shots in the sequence.
