To be honest I think the current dates are the problem. Don't know about the rest of the country but around here the last week of July - first week of August is traditionally holiday time, which I believe is putting many members off.

I like the idea of the Calendar so how about proposing a different date, I'll start by suggesting September?

[Edit: Dee, a meet up wouldn't be a meet up without you :yes]

Any of you that read my last thread in the Blog Spot might have noticed in the last paragraph that I have an unexpected trip to UK coming up. It will be a brief trip, and mainly focussed on people contact, but, this time I am determined, and would love to meet up with some of you 'face to face'. I will be based near Rugeley for 3 nights, then near Caernarfon for the weekend. After that Monday through to Friday in the Wrexham area, (that's where my two elderly Aunts are), and then lastly 4 days in Bolton, before heading South again.

No big deal - just a cuppa, or lunch at a coffee shop, an evening drink at a local pub, or just a chat and a walk somewhere nice, would be lovely. I will have my own hire car, so will have a degree of independence and the ability to travel around from my 'base areas'.

I arrive in UK on Wed, 1st October, but thought I'd mention it on here now, to give some time frame and warning ahead of the day. Nothing is set in concrete as yet, but this will probably be my only chance to 'be included' in any meet up.

Hope I get some response on here to help me 'add events' to my itinerary :D

Hi, Kobione,

Im not too far from Rugely, and Kenilworth is very easy to find, to zip you round the Castle and Pool then a drink or lunch would be good.....but, there is one unknown factor.

My serious eye surgery hasnt been confirmed yet, I dont see the Specialist for another month, in theory he will put me on the NHS waiting list, which is up to 18 weeks........if I do have the surgery, I will be totally out of photographic and walking action for at least a month......so we would need to confirm by phone nearer the time......PM or email, if interested.
