I like the arrangement, too and still life shots that have a little randomness always appeal to me.

I'm finding the processing isn't really tootling my trumpet, though. The bottle/jar/receptacle on the far right has lost some definition around its outside edge and it looks odd.

I do like the idea, the elements of the shot work well together.

Thanks for the comments Guys ... quite interesting  as all I did with this version  was slide the  detail  back to nil and the colour sat  back and the contrast  too ... I was experimenting with  a really diffused look to just  give  the impression of the objects hanging almost in midair .  I had  painted a piece  of hardboard as the background and was trying to lose the  join where it met the base surface without using  layer masks  or cloning ... ... Thanks  for the  comments ... they are valuable  to me... Here  is the original out of the camera  just resized and one of several  versions that   I ended  up with  after  the one I posted on here ... By the way  i also  posted  another version on the one a day challenge ...so  ringing the changes on this one eh ...   lol
