the closest i have got to getting a snap. it's so fast and bounces along the ground like a little rubber ball. it seems to be living behind the greenhouse, so it is always right down the end of the garden in amongst the montana branches...just managed this as it bounced up onto the water lilly tub

Ha! your description is just about right, I have seen plenty ..but never within range of my camera. Terrific little things, love 'em!

You did well to get that, looks like its next move was almost imminent.

i love wrens (ex sailor), anyway, yep they move so fast i find it very hard to get one in complete focus, the bigger birds seem ok to focus on but these.... you done well to capture this one like you did. geoff ps, research what they eat and get a few bugs n grubs or whatever, put them in a shallow bowl/dish to attract them and they might stay for a few more seconds, focus the camera on the dish and wait, may be best to use a tripod and remote so as not to scare them off, a warmer weather job i think.

i dare not even try to put her any food out...because of cats. as she seems to be living behind the greenhouse she should be safe, the cats cannot get there, and there must be loads of snails and things behind there to.
