As I'm at work I thought I'd let you all in to the nerve centre, I'd be hung, drawn and quartered if my superiors knew I was doing this so I would appreciate your discretion.

Very few members of the general public get to see this but, the buttons I'm pointing to are what controls access to the site, my barrier buttons. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, they are the Q500+ models which come with printed directional arrows as standard. They'll not catch me rising prematurely!

Are those like the buttons used to fire a nuclear missile? Three keys, a sixteen-digit code, two passwords, a secret sign and permission from the Prime Minister required before you press?

I didn't realise that you have the Q500+ installed. It was a massive upgrade to the Q450 and I remember the barrier world being stunned when it was released.

If you told people here that they now have to go and collect their water by the tank, most would die of shock.

Ron, our house supply - two 5000 gallon tanks is fine, but we can't use our dam water for anything in what's left of the garden - too minerally and too salty, because we haven't had rain to top it up, so we get a couple of 1000 litre tanks each week to just keep a few things going, and keep a supply in the garden tank.

Awww, c'mon, you know I'd have to shoot you if I were to divulge....

Oh, go on then. Pretty much the same, although the PM has requested that we go via his first secretary due to the number of calls he was receiving each day.
The Q450 were indeed very poor, at least a 2 second delay, and not a single remote control in sight!

Don't be too hard on the Q450 - there was a time when its technology was right at the forefront. The two second delay was a drawback I can't deny that, but the 2.5mm flange pins and the Bradshaw & Wellington split shunter drive-box more than made up for the time lag.

Nice to find a barrier soulmate on the forum.

Well just 7 of us over the weekend, not bad I guess but hoped there would have been more, as I,m sure BP did.

I know a lot of people don't like selfies and I,m not that keen to be honest but any daft thing would have done.

Maybe another one in the future BP.
