These always fascinate me, there seems to be no end to to all the different shapes and sizes.

im thinking of putting up a wooden panel in the back garden and starting up a knocker collection

1 - That is a lovely bit of casting - the place it was created would've probably been a dark, dirty, sweaty foundry.

2 - I too have a knocker collection. But I prefer to call them my Gentlemens' Art Magazines.

I admire your guts (was gonna say balls but in light of knocker comments think maybe best not!) Fuji to take this - I have only taken a couple of these in the past as I am terrified someone will come out and demand to know what I am doing - clearly I would just be standing on the pavement outside their house but I would and do feel so guilty for pointing a camera their way.
