Bits at Willen Lake

Jean had a training session today, for 2 hours, so I decided that I'd drop her off at her works and have a wander around Willen Lake to see if I could shoot anything; these are the shots I took but I think next time I'll take more than one lens.

Weir.

These next two are part of a Buddhist memorial to those who died in Japan in the two WW2 atoming bomb strikes. As someone who had a great uncle murdered by Japanese camp guards on the Death Railway I don't have much sympathy but each to their own and I respect their memorial for what it is.

I spotted this headstone, the sort I've never seen before, at a church close to the banks of Willen Lake.

And the doors of the church looked quite interesting.

These next three pictures are of, or of parts of, the Peace Pagoda that overlooks Willen Lake.

And the last one is of an elderly couple who were on their long walk around both parts of the Lake. As soon as I saw them I knew I'd want to colour-pop the image to let the blue stand out.

ive seen most of these in person Lee and i think you have done a brilliant job of capturing these images. If i had to pick a favourite i think it would be the church door... simply beautiful ! ... which church is it ?

It is St. Mary Magdalene. If you stand with the Pagoda to your left and look roughly ahead then you should see it through the trees.
