Minimal Landscape

One from earlier this year that I decided to revisit, in fact this was taken at the same time that I posted the first images on this forum, it was a triptych of three lone rees I did. As the weather has been foul for the last week nearly, I've been going throught some of my older images and looking at them again with a fresh eye and perspective - and just too see what I could get from them.

Anyway, a very minimal Lone Tree Landscape, 50% crop from the original and then using Lighten RGB Tool to remove the clouds.

No sorry, it does nothing for me..........

Sorry - not working for me either I'm afraid.

As a suggestion I think the picture would work better with a high key look (happy to post an example but I don't like posting in others threads uninvited).

Everyone knows that I'm not a fan of pics of a certain lone tree....

'But, surprisingly, I quite like this one, it has both drama and appeal.........What might've made it special would be a single large crow fling in from the RHS to give counter balance to the weighty LHS?

Having once been a scenic artist in my spare time, this would make a superb back cloth, perhaps for Cathy and Heathcliffe
