Another outing......

Recommended Posts

Managed another outing with the camera and the local 'flora expert' friend on Monday. We went to Melville Caves park, (which is what my blog 'A Bushrangers Haven' is based on) and I took quite a few random pictures:

3 random views from different spots:

This is a TINY, (and I mean tiny!!!) lichen flower:

A nice little orchid:

A Harlequin Bug in a very similar colour background:

A tiny leggy spider:

A cicada shell:

And a couple of instances that show evidence of native habitation in ages past. This was a waterhole carved into the rock:

And this tree provided a large piece of bark that probably was used in the construction of a basic 'hut':

Thanks Chris and Phil :D

Phil - I'm still messing with them in my casual manner - I'll try another crop.

Trouble is I think it has now lost a bit of sharpness in the distance. Should probably have taken the original at a slightly different angle to cut the sky down a bit. I might be going back there soon!!

Always interesting to see landscapes from a different continent, and one that for many in the UK (as I think most members are) is completely different to the lush rolling landscapes we see here... plus you've got all those weird and wonderful (at least to us) plants and animals.
