and if you haven't been I would highly recommend a visit, great fun from young to er... mature, stunning costumes and friendly and warm people most happy to pose if you ask.

I've just been reading the four day programme, Colin.  Amazing. 

They're in Eastbourne on 12-13th September.

Ingenious costumes ..   HG Wells would have loved it  .... I  may try to get to the Eastbourne event  .... Looks worth it for the photo opportunities alone Colin. Love the Rocket man...

 Hebdon bridge is holding a steampunk event on the 19th 20th September 

Whitby goth has its fair share of steampunks on the 30th 31st October (well all week really ) 

Howarths steampunk weekend is getting larger on the 21st 22nd November 

They are all a bit closer than Eastbourne 

No2 is the man in the diving gear on Saturday must have changed for Sunday

Doesn't surprise me, after what I've just read about Hebden Bridge! (Just reading Maconie's "Pies & Prejudice" for the first time). It sounds like my kind of place - the Totnes of the North - but sadly way beyond my reach these days.
