Was lucky enough to cacth a couple of very active little birds in some bushes close to the house today - a Chestnut-rumped Thornbill, and a Yellow-rumped Thornbill, both quite tiny birds that flit around in groups

A beautifully set of hard to capture birds, which, I guess are a bit like out Hedge Sparrows, or chaffinches.....flitting here and there like lightning, hardly ever still?

The thorny branches and neutral backgrounds makes these shots special, the beak held nesting material is  a bonus.

Well done Dee.

As an aside to this......What do you call an Ozzy who's good with a bat?..........

Thanks all :D  - yes, Fuji, these are very active little birds about the same size as your chaffinches, and I'm going to try to get more of them - even though it might mean sitting on a stool in the middle of the Prickly Wattles!!.

JH - I was not perfectly happy with these - still learning the newish camera, but I was very pleased to even get them. These are fair sized crops from the originals, and I did do a little bit of tweaking, but at one point the images did not look like I had seen the actual birds, so I left them alone from there.

Fuji - had to think about your 'vet' comment for a second, as we have not been watching any sport - then I realized what you meant   . They didn't do very well, did they!!!
