Hi guys. Not posted for a while as I have had some sorting out to do. I have said before that tabletop/food photography is the way I want to go and I have been putting some work into getting set up to learn how to do this.

I bought, at the end of last week, a couple of continuous light soft boxes as the preferred natural light in the room I use is not great. I have gone with continuous light as it is easier to learn with than flash for the time being and slower shutter speeds don't matter as it is tripod work most of the time

Anyway, yesterday produced the first results from this new setup. Not going to be prolific but I am happy with the way this one came out.

Excellent stuff Graham........Still Life is something I like to dabble in sometimes......

It would be a great idea to study the best .....Still Life....artists via Google and YouTube.......likewise the works of past Still Life Photographers.

Wet fruit, or at least fruit with a few water drops works well, as does using a powerful led torch as. Spotlight, not forgetting directional natural sunlight early and late in the day.

Another source of inspiration may be the very best of ....Worcester Porcelain......not to everyone's taste, but the lighting and the rendition of fruit on it can be exquisite.

I look forward to seeing how your new venture develops.
