  1. Congratulations, a lot of stacking for that.
  2. Not sure i like it, looks a bit HDR.
  3. That's nice, thank you.
  4. No need to go any further you have sorted it thanks, its a lot of years since i did anything much with close up and flash and had forgotten these things.
  5. Whats wrong with this ? i look to have a double image on some fine hairs but not on all, playing with cheap Olympus kit zoom and ext ring waiting for decent weather.I used the built-in flash.
  6. Well done, very creative from a simple base.
  7. Been struggling with over sharpened images just noticed the default sharpening in ACR is set at 40% it used to be 21%, how can i get it back to 21% so i don't have to change it every time, i am using CC. Thanks
  8. Will try, don't do well with preset themes though.
  9. Well if i could manage it i would be using a D500 AND 150-600 but it wont happen, so long as i can keep taking pictures ime happy.
  10. I use mirrorless because i need light gear, this takes me down to m4/3 because no matter how small or light the body is sensor size dictates lens bulk, most of the time. Sometimes i get the flow wrong and the subject is not where i wanted it to be like this. Extending the canvass is not always the answer, BIF against a clear sky is one thing, this sort of shot needs to be fairly right in the camera though.
  11. You can highlight part of it and then a quote option comes up you can copy and past, although ime sure i tried it before 30 posts and it didnt work, or click the gear wheel near the bottom left of the post but again ime sure it didnt work before 30 posts
  12. If so tell us what it is and why, a couple of images to show why liked about it would be nice. First i would have to say the Nikon D500, it is great for action shots, the only reason i sold mine was i couldn't handle it with a 600mm on, i only had a 100-400 which was too short. The other camera i miss and may get again is the Nikon P900 bridge camera, great for small birds in the mid to close range
  13. I refuse to take the blame. Nice to see you here Michael
  14. Anyone that can make it should, it's a great photo opportunity, unfortunately, most of my days out are on a mobility scooter, the one i could take to Lincoln in the car boot would never cope with the hills. If anyone is staying overnight a nice shot used to be the cathedral taken standing near the castle entrance after dark.
  15. Thanks for the welcome everyone
  16. Lovely camera the GX8 it was my first m4/3, the only reason i parted with it was the 100-400 i had at the time was very stiff to zoom, gripping the camera to hold against the stiff zoom twisting made me catch buttons, i think i could have deactivated them but that didn't seem to be a good idea.
  17. After a very long time of all Nikon i needed to change Olympus EM1MK11 Olympus EM10MK11 Panasonic/Leica 100-400 Olympus 14-42 and 40-150 Kit lenses Nikon V2 10-30 and 30-110 FT-1 adapter but no Nikon lenses to use it with.
  18. Thanks, Phil for sorting it out. My name as you may guess mike been into photography for nearly 50 years, unfortunately my ability has passed its peak but ime still a happy photographer with a passion for natural history. For most of the time i was a Nikon user but eventually the weight got too much so ime now a m4/3 user, first Panasonic but 2 weeks ago the EM1MK11, i love Olympus menus. I spend a lot of time on forums as I don't do much TV and for the sake of clarity i am a mod on a small mirrorless camera forum, looking forward to being involved. mike
