Taking In The View

I love how the two characters are surrounded by the dramatic sky, the mountains, the water and the foliage. They come together beautifully to focus the attention on the couple enjoying the view.

I can see it's a monument rather than a bin (following your explanation, that is) but I still think it's an intrusion into the image. A dob or two with the clone thingie perhaps?

Overall? Top stuff!

One minor crit (personal preference perhaps) is that the two central characters are a little 'bright' for that particular scene?

As you can probably imagine, me being me, there's been a lot of work done on the image (although the sky hasn't really been touched), mainly with the vibrancy brush and the removal of 3 other tourists and couple of boats that just didn't fit, so I may have over-cooked the jackets a tad. :)

[Edit: Just checked the original. Make that 4 tourists, 2 boats and another bench that've been removed :)]

Phil... as you know I try to produce images as natural as possible, the way my eyes see things. Having said that I do really like what you have achieved here, it's very nice, it has a sort of oil painting look about it. IMO the only improvement would be to remove that rubbish bin (if that's what it is), my eyes seem to get drawn to it.

at first I thought that the two people were, well not quite right, but the more I looked at the image I came to the conclusion that two walkers taking a rest and taking in the stunning view, I think they add a lot to the image and tell a story making it more than just a scenic shot (if you know what I mean). I would still clone out the bin/monument tho.
