You know how it is, the light has gone, the only lens you have capable of getting a good shot is rubbish in low light, the camera is over your shoulder and the lens cap is on.

You are walking across a field deep in thought and you hear something thundering along behind you....whoosh and they are nearly gone by the time you get your act together :)

WOW... That would have scared the Bejesus out of me !!  Is that a field  of sprouting broccoli that they are galloping through?  Looks like a fine stag with his does ..  but what are they doing in what looks like  a field of cultivated crops?   I'm seriously intrigued Denis... you did well to  get a couple of shots  for the record .:yes

Sugar Beet clicks, they have just started to lift them in an adjoining field, they had been disturbed by the harvester that was at work I imagine and bolted for cover by the quickest route.

A bit like the time we were at Haworth photographing the trains and the deer ran across the field and neither of us had a long lens......
