Evenin' all,  just dropping in to say hello and to say sorry for not being around for a few weeks. I have a number of reasons, but I won't bore you with the details. However, all things being equal, I'll be back to annoy you all as usual in a couple of weeks.

I decided to have a firkle with PShop & Topaz yesterday and this was what resulted. The original was taken in Austria in September - seems like half a lifetime ago.

Another very nice image.  Like that.  I was trying to determine what the instrument was.  Large valves suggests a Sousaphone but 4 of them??  I then found that the modern Tuba can have 4 valves.  I used to play one (very) many years ago but I never came across a fourth valve,

Thanks, chums, much appreciated.

My thinking with this image was to get away from flower and still life shots that are so commonly seen with textures applied. I've thought about doing this for a while, so now I've started I may carry on.

Superb work, really evokes the jazz era completely.

Nicely done! :)

The style reminds me a little bit of Vaughan Oliver. He inspired some of my work when I did my National Diploma in graphic design. The mix of textures added to photographs is appealing.
