Tetraptych Film Noir

For the last few months I've been feeling that I've photographed the same ole things the same way and processed the same... There's always a part of me that likes trying something different and I'm always interested in the abstract. I often see interesting shapes and textures that catch my eye that I photograph without having a finished image that I visualise in my mind whilst taking the shot.

These were four shots of various bits of architecture that I spotted on a wander around Skipton on Monday. During the weekend prior to taking these I'd been looking at Lomography and film noir images, plus I also wanted something arty....

So a Tetraptych

For me, they work brilliantly well - your abstract work always does. And they are true abstracts in the sense that they're completely unrecognisable from the original subject.

I agree with Korks ... your abstract work has always been innovative... love the painted brushwork effects  ... my cup of tea these are .. well done Rye .

1, 2 and 3 work well for me but I have to admit that the last one doesn't.  Don't know why so don't shoot me Rye.

Thanks John, I did have a fifth image to make a pentaptych, but it didn't really fit in with these 4 as a series.
