  1. On holiday in South Australia at present. This is the Victor Harbour to Granite Island tramway and has been in operation for over 100 years. This horse has been doing its job for 18 years and the only reason there is a driver is to keep Health and Safety happy.
  2. Welcome to the group, Paul. Love your alpine shots and your philosophy with commenting. Look forward to seeing more.
  3. I'm sure you'd love it HERE too, Pat. You know what I mean.
  4. ..............and a hearty welcome from our little group in Australia. You'll love it here!
  5. Well done, Barbara. A winner from the first time I saw it!. Congratulations.
  6. Very nice, Polly. Thanks for doing that for us. It must have taken ages to do and looks fairly detailed, so maybe easily followed. Even for someone as slow witted as me!

    A Milestone

Being a Newbie, please allow me to congratulate the Administration Team, for providing us all with a forum to post our images on. Well done, especially Phil, and may you all continue to another milestone.
  8. A bit predictable, I'm afraid! Sunset over the fields around home. Really needs to be viewed large to get the full colour.
  9. As it's my challenge, I thought I might get the ball rolling with one I took earlier this year up in the mountains on a foggy morning.
  10. The weekly challenge # 61 - Trees I thought to encourage more entries for this week's challenge, I'd choose something that surely, everyone has in their Archives. Trees, or maybe a single tree. So, have a dig around on your hard drive, or get out there in the elements and find something new. But let's all have a good effort and submit your favourite shot of some TREES. Starting from today, entries will be accepted up to Friday Night of 2nd. September when voting will commence until the following Friday 9th. September.
  11. Many thanks to all who voted for my offering. A pleasant surprise.
  12. The road across the "Top End" (Northern Territory).
  13. Rules is Rules. This may sound like sour grapes, but I don't see the point of closing entry to the comp. so long before setting up and starting the voting.
  14. Even later than Dee. Sorry. Chuck it out if I'm too late.
  15. Welcome aboard, Cheryl.I'm sure you'll enjoy the feedback and banter you will experience here. If your first image is anything to go by, we can look forward to great things from you in the future.
