Good choice. Another of your lovely textured images, Polly. Keep 'em coming, I love 'em.
  2. I hope I haven't broken any rules, but I've changed my entry for this week's challenge. A piece of Chainsaw Art from a local park. Dedicated to the Swaggies from the turn of the century, when unemployed men would wander from place to place, looking for work. From Banjo Patterson's Waltzing Matilda. Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong,Under the shade of a coolibah tree,And he sang as he watched and waited 'til his billy boiled,Who'll come a-waltzing, Matilda, with me?
  3. One from the Archives that I might have shown you before, but it fits the bill.
  4. Well done Cheryl. Your image was a worthy winner.
  5. Thanks, Phil, but are you sure you mean ironic.
  6. Taken high up in the mountains on the first day of my mate's epic walk. You don't see many of these any more. I used to love these club rides up into the mountains. If this doesn't get the juices flowing, nothing will.
  7. One I've played with several times. This one is heavily photoshopped and a sky replacement.

    Noojee Tramway

This is the tallest trestle bridge remaining in Victoria, Australia. In use from the 1880s until WW1, its function was to provide remote goldfields with supplies. The image has been processed in sepia to give an authentic 'period' look.

    Full Moon

The once busy gold town on Berlin had its name changed to Rheola with the advent of WW1. Now that the gold has run out, virtually nobody lives there and this church has been de-consecrated. The image is post-processed achieve a full moon effect.

  10. These Law Courts, built in the 1880's, are still in use today and are fine examples of Victorian architecture of the Australian Gold Rush period.
