  1. This week's Challenge is "Something Musical". This should give everyone a chance to delve into their archives to find something with a Musical theme. Or even better, to get out there into the World and conjure up something new. You have until Midnight UK time on 16th November to submit your entries.
  2. Thanks, everyone. I'm out for the rest of the day, but will do the next Challenge tomorrow.
  3. Hope I'm not too late! Nostalgic for me , as shortly after this beauty was made, I started work as a 16 year old, in Woolwich, where this was made.
  4. Lovely sharp, well composed shot, Cheryl. Beautiful little birds, aren't they!
  5. You are right, Rye. The LE Velocette was known (at least in London) as The Noddy Bike and was used by some Police instead of pushbikes. I did fiddle with the dof a bit in PShop. As the background was a bit distracting, I did a hasty gradated Gaussian Blur on it.
  6. I'm back! Sorry for the absence.....I've been having a real struggle with motivation of late, but I am better now. Does anyone remember these?
  7. Wheat silos at a little one horse town called Brim. It boosted tourism in the area to such an extent, that now, you can find these silos decorated all over Victoria. I've shown you this before, but it's the only one I can think of that fits the theme.
  8. Nice selfie. Is that your Saturday night out shade, Korky?
  9. That is a lovely photo, Gareth. Nice soft colouring and good focus.
  10. From a visit to the Solar Research Establishment yesterday.
  11. Very nice, Dee. I can just see this with Polly's Old Masters makeover.
  12. LACES (I'd forgotten all about "Word association" and used to have a lot of fun here.)
  13. As Cheryl has already said, we went for an afternoon's photo session at a local National Park. We stayed until the "Golden Hour", which lasted for about 20 minutes. The light on this slab was amazing for a few minutes.
  14. Beautiful shot, Cheryl. The detail and clarity are superb.
  15. The Sentinel. Standing guard over the inspection pit to our septic tank.
  16. Been very busy of late so like his Lordship, I'll get in early so's not to forget (again). Taken from our jaunt around the Aviary in Bendigo, with Dee and friends.
  17. Eureka!!! The Wallaby fence is finished, so here it is in all it's splendour at sunset. The only picture I've had the chance to take so far this week.
  18. Trying to make something out of nothing. Pity you chose this week as a mono challenge. This is the only photo I've taken this week and I was quite pleased with the outcome. But that was a sunset in colour and when converted into mono was distinctly lacking. So I got to work with Nik,Topaz and Photoshop filters trying to make something out of it. Essentially, it is a photo of our Wallaby fence, which is now finished (at last!) at sunset, as can be seen in A Slice of Life.
  19. From a visit to my mate's garden. Sydney the snake.
