Thank you very much for picking my image... I was so lucky with this as it was literally as I left the house to drive to the steam fair over 3 hours away... Just had to take a pic though
-
got up early to drive the 3 hours to the malpas yesteryear rally and as i left the house i was treated to a beautiful sunrise...i had seconds so i nipped over to one of the boats by the car park opposite the house ... i'd taken the L bracket off the camera so couldn't use a tripod

while i was at the maplas yesteryear rally i took a few monochrome images

been wanting to go back to this rally for years after visiting it years ago with my late wife and the dogs ...it was a lot easier back then as i lived in liverpool and it was so close but now i'm back living on the gower penninsular its over a 3 hour drive to get there and one of my dog mr jones from years ago...i photoshopped out the bacground and have this as a canvas on my wall

i been to bracelet bay loads of times but i spotted what looked like some ww2 ruins on google maps so i headed down for a sunrise...it was a bit hard to get to with my knees but i got there to find the ruins of a small gun emplacement or observation post ...and was treated to a beautiful sunrise

Well all was going well then I lost my last dog callie... Its thrown my head space all over the place...to me it's worse because she was the last link I had of my life with my late wife.... I've struggled to do anything since... Hardly been out with the camera or the ebike.... I've put one more weight and I can't walk far at all now.... But I'm still trying.. I went to a steam fair last weekend and took my mums old walker so I could sit down when I needed to. I managed to get around the whole show.. And thus weekend I managed to get to an old ruined Ww2 building I spotted on Google maps at bracelet bay.. I'll get there but the hardest part is in my own head

beginning of July was the only week i could have off so i decided to take a week and rent a caravan near fort William and head to Scotland for some photography......i arrived on the saturday..............just happened to have terrible weather the entire week....the car broke down and just to top it off i came down with covid on the second day there.......luckily i wasn't that bad with it ....after being stuck in the caravan for the only day that had good weather.... i managed to get the car fixed on the Wednesday and then on the Thursday i felt well enough to go for a drive and i wanted to head over to Skye the weather wasn't too bad and i got a few pics at silgachan and was really looking forward to seeing the quirang again....got to the quiraing and couldn't see 10 feet in front of the car then drove to elgol for the first time ....weather when i left broadford was fine but by the time i drove the 15 miles to elgol ......have a guess...................couldn't see 5 feet in front of the car ..... i did manage to get a few pics over the week ...but the weather forecast was so bad on the Friday and Saturday that i cut my losses and headed home early

right i'm fat ..i'm 32 stone and my knees are knackered ..i'm trying to loose weight but i'm not getting anywhere.. i cant walk more than a few hundred yards on a good day ...........so i bought an ebike in the hope that it will get me out exercising and help me loose weight ..plus it might help me get to places that i cant get to at the moment for photography......god it has been such a success ...i've lost 5 lbs and i've done 120 miles in just over a month and i'm starting to take my good camera with on rides out ...plus it got me to the place where i proposed to my late wife and then spread her ashes as ive not been able to get there for years as its too far to walk llanmadoc hill ..where i spread my wife's ashes millenium costal park llanelli neath canal
