  1. I was snuggled up in bed, listening to the Shipping Forecast and enjoying a spot of Glen Twistleton when he appeared. First time since 1948 apparently. He lingered just long enough for me to get my Polaroid from the drawer and take one shot. As soon as he heard the noise of the camera he uttered a single oath and was gone. I hope this doesn't alarm anyone, I appreciate some of you are a little delicate, but this needs to be seen. Korky BTW - In case you're misreading the situation, Glen Twistleton is a whiskey, not a member of my staff.
  2. Glad you like it, it's what I wear to the pole dancing classes I've just signed up for. I heard you'd become a crocodile wrangler out in Walamagoo, but whatever the reason for your absence, you'll need a note from a responsible adult. Korky
  3. Hello, Rina, nice to have you aboard - just dive straight in and enjoy the place. Photos, comment and daft banter are the lifeblood of the forum, so don't be shy. Korky
  4. Hello, Mac. Welcome to TIPF, just dive in and enjoy the place. I've just got back from Fort William in the Highlands - it rained. Then it stopped raining for a few minutes and then it rained again.Came home early! Lovely part of the world, though. Korky
  5. Week 20 is here and we have a theme.......... TEXTURE. Interpret any way you like. Korky
  6. Another set of excellent images - Rye takes the kudos for that superb leaf image. And on we go to another week and a theme. Korky
  7. And I concur fully, like. Top stuff, Clicks! Korky
  8. So anyroadup......... Yesterday morning at about ten to eight I'm lying in bed half asleep and half listening to the Today programme on Radio 4. When, suddenly, I hear geese. Now, we live just a few miles from Martin Mere (the Wetlands Trust place) and I get the idea the geese are heading to or from there and I sprint out of bed to have a sken. As I'm cornering the bed to get to the window..... KLONK.... I stub three toes on the leg of the bed and it bloody hurts. I swear obscenely (at least three times) and it's then I realise there are no geese. It was just background noise to someone being interviewed on the radio. The toes are now a lovely shade of puce and I've lost all interest in geese. Korky
  9. The bar is already set very high - puts my proposed shot of a M&S chicken tikka masala into clear perspective! Korky
  10. What an absolutely super set - if I had to pick a favourite, it'd have to be shot 4. I just love how they're looking in the same direction - there's a look of wonder on the youngster's face while mum's seen it all before. These have really made my day! Korky
  11. A remote bunkhouse at the head of Glen Nevis, Scotland.
  12. I thought that'd be the winner as soon as you posted it. Very well done! Korky
  13. A real belter - Very well done! Korky
  14. I'd love to know more about Yorta Yorta. Korky
  15. Earwiggo for the nineteenth time! Korky
  16. This week's challenge is Architecture - interpret any old way you like! Big, small, new, old or ruined. Photograph something as a whole or zoom in on the detail. Entries to be submitted by midnight on Friday 5th October. We'll then have a vote to determine a winner. Korky
  17. Looks like my trip to the fishmongers has paid off! A new challenge will be along shortly! Korky
  18. Only five six left in for what must be the easiest 'challenge' in the photographic world. Korky
  19. Korky

    POTW - w/e 23/9/18

Congrats, Bill - Well done! Korky
  20. You're right. And I know you're right. But I care not....... at least I've posted summat. I think the carving may re-emerge another week. Thanks for giving me a truthful comment! Korky
