    Hi to All

Hi, Pete and welcome. This is a real friendly place where you can learn, join in, and have some fun too!
  3. Thanks, Phil - different singer but that's OK. Only a bit of fun anyway
  4. Had a bit of fun with the songs on profiles, and THANK YOU, BP. We had never heard of The Lancashire Hotpots until I heard your profile song. We have laughed and laughed all day Oh, the accent is sooo like my cousin in Bolton, and the humour is just great!! Love it - we'll be looking for more of their stuff. PS: don't think I've got my profile song right as yet, but I'm trying.
  5. Fuji, you must be going through a really hard time, so sorry!! Don't know that it's going to help things by saying I hope your brother comes to his senses. The smoking addiction can certainly have devastating effects - so glad Hubby gave it up when I was expecting our first child! Good thoughts your way, Fuji, friend.
  6. Love it, I also love the adaptations that show the events from words actually in the original song.
  7. Sounds great. I'll be leaving all of you to co-ordinate and organise this, obviously! I'll be watching developments though, and somebody please bear in mind what I said in the shout - I could at least be a little part of it, if somebody has skype access available at the time - even if not for the whole event
  8. Quite a hard choice again this week. There have been several images that I have considered. Bird photography has been really buzzing, and there were some really good shots, from John, Annie and Blackwolf. Fuzzy's exotic flowers were lovely to look at, and well done. Mark has posted some lovely scenic shots, and Colin's ring side seat really told a story, and came close. In the end I've gone with a picture that, as mentioned in the posts, proves exactly why you should have a camera with you all the time, and also that a shot taken in not the most perfect conditions can result in a 'picture of interest'. Taken by Fuji, his very painting-like 'Scene Through A Wet Bus Window' : Well done, Fuji - your continuing experimentation and spotting of potential subjects is an inspriation. Well done John! A beautiful shot, and I have an appreciation of how difficult to catch too.
  10. Happy Mother's day to all you lovely ladies over there. It doesn't happen here for another couple of months, but I am going to get my birth family Auntie Gwen, (84 years), on Skype to give her some good wishes. Enjoy your day, girls, and thanks for the pretty decorations up top, Phil!
  11. Looking, looking........might have been with our older vid camera, and not digital. We'll see.
  12. Fuzzy, meant to reply to this earlier, but we had our upgrade issues which has slowed us down over the last few days. Bathurst day is our favourite race day. We just love it. We have driven the Bathurst track a few times, because it is just a section of a normal road, and it is FANTASTIC! The first time I drove it, in 2007 the fastest drivers were doing lap times of 2.08. I did it in 5.11 even though I hit 130kph on Conrad!! Of course they do it a hugely faster speeds, but we had to watch out, even though we were very early in the day, for school buses etc, so couldn't really go any faster. Hubby videod my round through the windscreen and we had a real laugh when we saw it and the time

    Congrats Nanny, well done!
  14. We are just winding up to our round of this year's F1, in two weeks. Don't think we are going to get there this year, as the friend who looks after the girls for us is away, and it's too long a day to get them into kennels. We don't actually go for the F1 race, we prefer the practice day, and then watch the race day at home. It is just great to be there, and experience the noise and the atmosphere, but another reason we go on practice day is because that's when they hold our favourite race - the V8 Supercars!! It will be interesting this year, as it has been traditionally Ford versus Holden for many years, since the Walkinshaw team left in the 80's. This year Mercedes are in, with a special car, and I bet they just kill it! We'll just have to watch on TV, and we have let our mowing go for another week so we are free at that weekend
  15. Colin, we decided not to go with Win 8 - we stayed on Win 7 and are glad we did!
  16. Woops, Colin. You were obviously repying at the same time - but we are both hopefully heading John in the right direction!
  17. Hi, John, I use Live Mail in Win7. I changed from Outlook, too, and it took me a little while to sort it. When you open mail have a look at the tool bar across the top and click on 'view'. There are three different options as to which pane you view the mail in, and another couple of options. Try altering them to see if it's better. I have mine set on the 'calender pane' and it lists all my active messages in the inbox, saved ones in a named folder, sent in the sent folder and deleted ones in trash. You can also set ascending or descending order. Give it a try. I did not find it quite as easy as Outlook, but I got there after a few 'fiddles' Hope this helps.
  18. Hi, Chris and welcome. Have fun!!
  19. Great choice, Annie - congrats, Terry!
