  1. Oh to go snowboarding again, now that’s something I really miss.
  2. Has added to my list of possibilities, yes and thank you.
  3. My old 2011 MacBook Pro is now starting to have a few issues. I’ve started to do my research on new models Mac and windows based machines. My old mbp was upgradable which I have done, SSD and ram. But I believe the new machines aren’t, and they seem to be overpriced for what you get for your money. Now the reason I moved away from windows base machines in the first place, was because I’d had enough of constantly having to fiddle with them. Be it driver conflictions, virus’s or hardware/software problems. Plus I use to build gaming rigs back in the days of XP, which I wasted a lot of money on. so on one hand I’d like to stay with mac’s For the easy life of not having to worry about the laptop playing up. And just being able to swap everything over. But to buy the laptop I’d like and trying to future proof it for speed, and being able to use newer software as it released. (If that’s possible) I’d be looking at around the £1800 mark. or go back to windows with all normal issues I’d expect. But it would be nice to play my old games using my steam account. I can get a windows laptop really cheap if I buy a slow one. Or I can spend a lot more on a razor laptop which comes with most of the bells and whistles that I want. So running something like lightroom or photoshop would be a breeze. anyone have any thoughts on my dilemma.
  4. Anyone going Photography show at the NEC this year. I’ve been meaning to go for years.
  5. I feel your pain. A few months back had a breakdown at dungeness , i queued from the M11/M25 junction to the M25/M20 junction. Got there 3 hours late. I then had to drop a driver off at leatherhead, knowing that the dartford crossing was still blocked. I decided to carry on going clockwise around the M25, bad move. Accident a few miles down the M25. I ended up crawling along the motorway for another 3 hours in rush hour. Then another few hours crawling up the M11 to Cambridge. I managed 20 minutes work all day, replacing a hydraulic hose. Luckily I’m paid by the hour lol
  6. Normally I’d be laying under wagons like this keeping them on the road. This week I’m on holiday
  7. just a random image to test uploading of my iPad. Is the size ok ?
  8. Well I got a iPad Pro at last with affinity. The software seem pretty good so far, If a little awkward at first. I brought the iPad to camera dongle so getting the images on is easy enough.
  9. Olympus Em1 mk1 and soon to have a mk2. 12-40 pro 40-150 pro 60mm macro 45 mm 1.8 1x4 extender vintage OM1, OM2sp, OM10, OM20, OM30 Olympus 50mm 1.4, 1.8 Olympus 135mm Olympus 75-150 Olympus 28mm Olympus 35-75mm Olympus 35-105mm Jupiter 135 f4 Jupiter 50mm helios 58mm
  10. I wish I’d kept my canon 40D great bit of kit and built like a tank. And fairly easy to learn with. I sold it a brought a 7D which I hated.
  11. Affinity photo is one of the reasons I’m going for a iPad Pro. Like FUJI I have the same two questions. As a Olympus shooter I know already that I can connect up with Bluetooth for remote control of my EM1 and image sharing using my iPad mini . But it’s slow going, it’s ok for a few images. But not for batch sharing of images. And the question of external hard drive. I was hoping to use a wireless hard drive with a built in SDcard reader. My old 2011 Mac book pro still runs light room and silver efex pro ok but it’s getting slow. I’ll be upgrading that in August, but in the meantime I was hoping the iPad Pro would fill the gap.
  12. Just out of interest, do you process your images on your iPad Pro. I’m looking to buy one.
  13. What the best way to Post images to the forum using a iPad? Using Flickr doesn’t seem to give me the same options as when I use my laptop.
  14. I’ve seen them advertised, but never seen one in the wild. I’d be interested in knowing how you get on with it.
  15. only just seen this, i'll have to check to see if i'm on call.
  16. You’d think they’d recycle them ;D
