  1. a large helping of nostalgic lyrics....."Maybe Andrew Lloyd Webber could be persuaded to compose a new recipe for the new Queenberry bickies." thought Phil, whilst the kitten with no name helped him muck out the stables ; at this point,a strange thought crossed Phil's mind.....
  2. ..when you've learned how to use a smart phone but meanwhile ..
  3. a profile of Mary Berry on the other, giving the public a real sense of choice ....
  4. ... And knowing how serious the implication was of this error, he frantically sent text messages to the most famous bakers in the realm, pleading with them to .........
  5. That's the only one I can think of ... Strewth.... that takes one back Fuzzy !!!
  6. Thanks Judy .... Sadly this was a racing pigeon... I didn't have the heart to let the owner know initially and by the time I had second thoughts, hubby had disposed of the carcass with the identifying leg ring ....
  7. Which Lancaster is that Colin ... Is It the City of Lincoln that stopped flying this summer ?.Hubby would love that as a print .. he went one Lancaster B VII NX611 "Just Jane"at East Kirkby as it taxied down the runway, two years ago as a birthday treat. I'd be interested in buying a large print from you ....
  8. Oops yer got me there Chrissie ... I'll be wearing my Faux pas hat all week especially for you as a penance!!
  9. Yeah super choice BP Reiterating my earlier comments Kev ... Loving the light on the paving stones . Hats off to you .the photographer and the magnificent iPhone...

  12. Kev .... not taken either ... I am always open to suggestions and truly don't mind anyone editing my pics .Please feel free anytime ....I respect anyone's view when it comes to what they like or don't like in an image .... it's such a personal thing. I 'd be honest and say if I liked it more or not.. SO ...PLEASE ... don't feel that I consider it a criticism... it's an opinion.. we all have one ...it's life !
  13. Please feel free to do that if you like Kev ....I'm always happy to see an edit from you...
  14. Thank you very much David... it was a lucky opportunity...right place right time.
  15. Nice job folks ... Hi Chrissie I suspect you have compressed the image to fit it on here with the ceiling of 500 kbs being the rule .. The file size of the image is only 378kbs and only approximately 500 pixels wide ...not ideal for restoring . Most of my iPhone pics are about 1.8 Mb and can be worked on quite easily so if you could let me have the original large file from her Phone ( unless she has only given you the compressed version too ) I can probably do a much better quality restore that the one I am posting ...lol Send me a personal message if you want me to try restoring on a bigger version, if you have it, and I 'll send you my email address to send it to. No obligation if you don't want to ...it's just an offer . I have cropped it as the sky seemed superfluous and badly blown ...
  16. Looks like it could be a real boon for cctv surveillance cameras... usually the images are so pixelated you couldn't recognise your own mother on them . Not that she would have been filmed TWOCing in a city centre car park !
  17. Thanks Kate ... it's hard sometimes to accept that Nature always has a Ying to it's Yang ... it's the Balance that ensures survival isn't it? I'd lay money on the fact that it's unlikely to happen again with such a photo opportunity ...so I just kept clicking ..Sometimes when you actually come eye to eye with a wild animal /Bird like this ...in it's own environment ,. something almost primal happens and you just have a deepened respect for the way Mother Nature has it all worked out ... Such a shame it's us humans who seem to be messing it all up ... Oh dear better stop now eh
