  1. That’s an engaging portrait Fogey… is the background your own processing … tis effective …
  2. How on earth did you see that originally…. An amazing first for you Paul …
  3. Can’t believe I am saying this but …. What a beautiful looking spider !!
  4. Congrats on getting your first POTW with this image Homer ... in case you've missed it, here is the link to the POTW Winner Forum :- https://www.tipf.co.uk/forums/topic/58672-potw-week-ending-20th-august-2023/
  5. It's the hint of sunlight on the edge of the mountain in the top middle of the image that just helps the balance for me ... and the fence line leading in. I imagine a large canvas would show this off very nicely ..
  6. Lots of images to choose from this week which can make it almost as difficult as when there are only a few images to choose from. A special mention to Monkey and both his set of super aircraft images from Mildenhall and his breathtaking wintry scene in the Calm before the storm but this week's winner is Homer's candid and comical shot of his two dogs ( My dogs) getting possessive over a ball ... a super capture ! I can hear that snarl from here !! Congratulations Homer on your first POTW ... See the original post using the link below :-https://www.tipf.co.uk/forums/topic/58616-my-dogs/
  7. Love that ... No sign of Rodney and Del Boy then ...
  8. Super shot Homer ....what a vista. In my experience Wales always has something special to offer to photographers .
  9. Brrrrrrr... you can feel the icy wind in this picture ...I really like the that golden morning light that lifts this image almost to another dimension . Very atmospheric and presumably this was somewhere on the Mach loop . A memorable image ....
  10. Hats off to you Monkey ... I'm impressed ... I wish I could do it now !
  11. Looks very impressive Martyn ... Hope we see a lot more from you again with the results from this new "toy". Health issues are the bane of one's life as we get older especially .... I hope they are resolved and under control now ... good to see you back again .
  12. Glad to hear you have resolved the problem Monkey ... sounds mysterious ...
  13. An interesting bit of street photography there Martyn... What a collection of characters !
  14. I agree ... the "in flight" capture was nicely timed ...
  15. That's a terrific shot Homer ... ... unusual too and not the usual cute pet photo ... certainly wouldn't want to mess with the dog on the left !!
  16. A nicely framed view and thoughtfully composed Homer ...
  17. The C5 Galaxy seems to defy gravity ... and the initial version I believe made it's debut in the late 60s ! Awesome is the right adjective for it Monkey ... a superb collection of aircraft images ..
  18. That's a steep old climb up there ... but worth it for the views ..... You have to be prepared for sudden changes in the weather and conditions too I imagine so planning is important . Was this a recent hike ...?
  19. That's a shame ..... Can't I twist her arm .... just a little bit ....
  20. What a beautiful building Hatter....I have never been there but it looks like there is a lot of history associated with it and the Lode Mill.
  21. I do too ...looking like soldiers presenting arms on parade !!
  22. You maybe could have resized it to 1600 pixels wide , even though it's a panorama it may have given us a bit more detail ... its a stunning view !
  23. Great depth and perspective with that cloud formation Homer ...
  24. A cracking set of photos Monkey ... I am just awestruck by the Osprey ... morphing from helicopter mode to plane mode whilst flying just blows my mind ... When we lived in Suffolk in the late 70's and early 80s we regularly took our two sons to Mildenhall and Lakenheath to the Air Shows . Happy days ....
  25. Lovely panorama Homer ...Are you able to get a larger copy posted as this is only 800 x 131 pixels . Yell if you need any help...
