  1. All is sweet for me. I always find adobe updates to really run well. There was a recognised problem last year with NIK crashing. But that was sharp sorted. I did not worry about it too much as I can easily live without NIK.
  2. Another question before I head off to Barcelona. Should I just pop the DR extension onto auto? Seems too obvious to me?
  3. Napoleonic history is a favourite thing of mine. I don’t think I have ever mentioned this before! Why? I just find the period to be so full of interesting characters and the politics were amazing and that’s before I even begin to consider Bonapartes place in history.
  4. Yep, wishes for full and quick recovery from me also.
  5. Pretty painless. I always have some plugin issues. Not a big deal and easy enough to resolve. Most get moved into the new version but I normally have a couple that get missed.
  6. I was not going to boot up the Mac tonight but now I just have to. Downloading the updates now!!!
  7. I do really like it. Setting the camera up for aperture, shutter speed and iso before the camera is even powered up is just the best thing since sliced bread for me.
  8. I am looking forward to the trip. I think all should be fine as the tensions have subsided a little in the past week or so. I will remain vigilant.
  9. More food for thought Polly. My goal has been to reach a level of competence with the camera that will help me when I get to Barcelona next week.
  10. Thanks BP. I have seen the DR tools in the menu and a quick scan through the manual did give me a basic understanding of the theory but I have parked it up for now. Very useful to hear about the different impacts on jpeg / raw work flows though.
  11. Many thanks folks for taking the time to respond to my query. I really appreciate this. So far I have left sharpening / noise reduction alone. Indeed I was thinking that the sharpness tool is not necessary judging by what I have witnessed so far which left me thinking that I must be missing something. I have not really considered jpeg yet but now that you have all mentioned this I better start looking. Book on order and off to look at some sites on the inet. Thanks. I think I am starting to get to grips with it. Your expeiences are most helpful
  12. I have yet to try out the options for in camera noise reduction and sharpening on the X T2. I never use these features on my Canon DSLRs. Any thoughts about using these tools on the FUJI?
  13. Well for my turn I am going with this image from Black Pearl. I just love the colour and the light reflecting off the sand is great. Wonderful symmetry. You can see the original thread here.
  14. I took my Fuji out for the first time yesterday which includes the 18 - 55 and I am well impressed.
  15. Capturing the Light is £19.99 on Amazon. You did indeed get a bargain on that title.
