Swaledale

An impromptu morning off, grabbed the camera bag and headed out, feel like its been forever since I had the inclination to go out with it, and despite a lack of any idea what I wanted to do I jumped in the car and headed towards the moors.

 

I ended up in Swaledale, took a couple of shots, not thrilled.

 

I certainly hope my inspiration comes back with the lighter nights :-)

It's great out that way Jon. Number 3 in colour is the pick of the set for me.

Shot three, lovely

#1 - the tree is 'hidden' by the darkness of the hill behind - a lower point looking up would have worked better?

#2 - can't see any immediate point of interest in this shot, no attention-grabbing subject

#3 - yes, it's the strongest shot by a long way : perhaps a couple of steps back to get more of that branch and wall on the right hand side? Good shot though.

the blown out portions of the first bug me, it's not so much that they were blown out, it's that they're still blown, but now grey.

 

the color shot is my favorite, great comp. and gorgeous light and color.

Yes, number 3 is certainly the strongest shot.

 

I love how that cloud follows the contour of the fell. Very nice!

No.3 not sure about the black and whites but the colours would brighten up anyones day.

Ha thanks, i wasn't sure about the mono stuff at all, and the single tree was especially for Fuji ;-) Number 3 is the one I prefer too
