Whippet

A friend was round visiting and brought his Whippet with him, and a lovely doggy she is too. Anyway, I've never taken pictures of animals before so I thought I would give it a go, seeing as how I wanted to test my new tripod out!

The lighting was absolutely rubbish and I would have preferred a less busy background, but on the whole I was quite pleased.

Suggestions welcome as always though.

Like I say I've never taken pictures of animals before but she made it very easy for me because she's actually a bit of a poser, and she was sleepy too which helped!!

That dog can hear a packet of biscuits being opened at about 500 metres...

Beautiful studies of a very photogenic pooch......wih a little nudge here and there from careful processing they would be even better.

Wonderful Dogs but they do like their creature comforts, we call our's  "Velcro" because she is snuggled up to us at every opportunity. Our current one is black and even after six years I am still trying to get a good portrait of her
