Denis, I am loving the composition. The shot has a kind of satin finish that gives a lovely dreamy feel to the scene. I really like the way the water starts in the bottom right side of shot and the reeds / boat take my eyes through the frame at a 45 degree angle which I find very comfortable. The colour and detail on the boat makes the scene feel very old and rustic. Nice reflections too. I am maybe being picky now, and this is not my intent, but I think if the brightness was lifted a little bit this shot would really come alive for me. But that is only my opinion. Lovely scene. :)

Ta for your input Kev, appreciated, shot taken using my 35mm Nikon f.1.8 prime lens at dusk, I did try to brighten it up a bit, but this looked right to me.  And this is where I start to wonder about my monitor and how I see things at this end!

I like this Denis.

I have to say all the edits take something away from the original mood of that overcast cold winter dusk.

If I were to do anything to it then it would be very slight like increasing the saturation and lightness of just the barge.
