Well I am no expert on bugs, but I can comment on what I see.

I really like the depth of field in this shot. The spider looks great to my eyes against the blur of the background which compliments the colour of the spider in my opinion. The web looks so delicate. It may well be the screen I am viewing the image on, but could the spider have maybe just a little bit more sharpness to bring out the detail in the creature?

Yes that's right the sharp on the spider isn't perfect...   I probably move a little during the shot...

I think the colour and the composition more than make up for the tiny lack of sharpness.
