ROOTED TO THE SPOT

This is for Heather to compare with the old tree stump pic posted by her yesterday.............I did say that by some wierd coincidence I had done exactly the same.

Making it stand out from the busy background wasn't easy..................I did my usual CS3 processing, added a smidgeon of gaussian blur to already reasonable DOF...then pushed selective sharpening to give it an edge:

i can see what youve done with if Fuji, but i think you have had the same problem as i did when i tried putting a small blur on the background, it made the stump stand out but at the same time the picture didnt look quite natural anymore. :hope: the top half of your picture looks fine and if mine had gone like that i would have been reasonably happy but the whole of my picture went like the bottom half of yours where it just looks slightly surreal. i dont know maybe its just my view of it <sigh>

This working better for me but thinks if you could combine this pic with the colours of Heathers then you'd have a winning formular.

Love the little toadstool hiding away there :)
