Pouring steel at Redcar blast furnace

Wow that takes me back. I spent 10 years at BSC Bilston in steel production. Even today I still get a thrill from seeing molten metal flow. One point, that's iron from a Blast Furnace, steel would be produced by further refining in a different type furnace..Many thanks for sharing this its bought back a lot of happy memories.

A very dramatic scene, very well taken.

Brings back memories for me too Terry, not because I used to work in steel, but that I spent a couple of years in Teaching Practice in Bilston, in digs on Stoweheath Lane, the works near in Bilston and Willenhall were familiar sights, as were the furnaces alongside the railway lines, later when I used to travel through Wolverhampton to Crewe regularly for two years.

Bostin' ar Kid;-)
