Waiting for the carnival to start

Took this a couple of nights back.  This is just before the Penryn carnival started.

I see a great picture, consisting of the right hand 2/3 plus the upper 3/4. Don't really care for the left hand side though.

Gonna have to disagree, tried a crop as you say and frame looks to tight my liking.  As always appreciate the feedback though!

To be more specific, I'd put the dog at the bottom left corner, and perhaps clone out its collar? That would be a slightly less severe crop. I think it's the couple who have the dog and most of the sun flare I'd want to lose, though it's a personal thing as always.

Matt - This image just isn't buttering my crumpets I'm afraid, but I don't want to be too critical as that often encourages others to jump on the bandwagon and also get a bit acidic.

 

I'd be very interested to know why you posted this and what it is that appeals to your eye - I just feel that I may be missing something. Thanks!

considering this was taken a couple of nights ago, does anyone else get a feel for it having been taken in 60/70s ? ... just has the feel of an old photo to me

Not too sure why I like to be quite honest!  Just a nice scene with kids sat in the road being kids and the community all coming out to support a local event.  Perhaps has more appeal to me as it's my road? 

 

(I'll go put the camera in the bin and maybe take up sowing instead)
