Toad in colour

I have this photo of a toad in the garden last night - which I thought might look good in B&W, to take away the strength of the greens that garden shots have, but Terry & John wanted the colour version so here it is:

Prefer the colour version, I think the colour adds to the whole image

He is lovely, don't they have funny faces. Have not seen a toad or frog in years. 

 

I can't recall seeing the B&W version but I know without checking it out I would prefer the colour version.

Yes, I much prefer the colour. Mono has to be carefully chosen for both content and tonal qualities, IMO.

It's strange how much Toads vary in colour, the one I posted a bit back was a very light sandy colour. This shot is much better than the B&W version.
