Following on from my earlier post Moving In I've been watching the bughouse and it seems there is more than one species of Bee using it.

This one I think is a Leaf Cutter Bee

Hi, Terry

The ones that use my drilled logs are.....Nomadic Bees......they choose any suitable hole, natural ir man made, then collect pollen, lay eggs, the hole is then sealed with a mixture of collected mud and bee saliva.

As far as I know, up to three larvae hatch out, they eat the polle, then after some time metamorphose into bees, they cut their own way out of the hole.

It will be worth Googling them, or looking on YouTube.
