It doesn't look particularly noisy to me - in fact it looks pretty bloody good.

 

Careful with that experimentation, you'll have the photo police down on you quicker than you can say 'black and white? Not for me, pal'.  :yes

I thought I had overdone it when it fills the screen, but does not look too bad on the smaller version, and yes I did tinker a little in Lightroom.....of which I am still getting my head around !

I think we can be far too obsessive about noise, much more than we ever were about film grain. Put it this way (not that I can see any noise either) - if it was a choice between getting this shot and avoiding noise, I'd go for the shot every time.
