THE PEOPLE I MEET

For the last year, I have been creating a.....Portrati Project........not candids, and not formal, but of folk I meet whilst out and about no matter where.

 

I just pluck up the courage to request a portrait, surprisingly most readily agree after the tiniest of hesitations to ask why......I give them my card stating that they can have a JPEG copy if they email me:

 

These were taken last week:

 

1: This chap was just lounging against a shop window, I pointed to my camera, and he gave me the thumbs up to shoot, so I did:

 

 

2: This lady, looked pretty fierce, but soon got into a converstaion about the joys of reading as we both sorted through a table of books outside a local charity shop, she was surprisingly soft spoken........to me, it looks asif she lives in the sun somewhere:

This lady, explained to me that she preferrred to be Old Fashioned, ( her words) she was working in an Antiques Centre...........apparently she wears Edwardian Costume all the time, even at home............one of our wonderful eccentrics......... a great conversationalist too:
