I don't know how you get a shot of a Jay, I've never managed to get anywhere near close enough.

I can honestly say I've never seen one, there aren't any around here :(

There are a lot around my area Phil... more often heard than seen though. The best place is The Forest of Dean, as I wasn't working yesterday & today I had planned to go there but the weather is cr*p and I'm a fine weather photographer these days... :lol:

We're supposed to be having a ride out today but the weathers the same here...

And I've been treated to a new lens for my birthday next week but I'm not allowed it until then so I'm spitting my dummy out :veryangry:

Brilliant... I don't know how you get a shot of a Jay, I've never managed to get anywhere near close enough.

I have spent a long time cultivating trust with these birds they are still very cautious but allow me to be fairly close when coming down to get the nuts I put out thank you

That's a really good picture. The detail in the feathers is fabulous when you see it full size.
