Out and about on the Furness peninsula I spotted this old navigation beacon, the last remaining of 13 that were built in the late 1800s to guide ships into Barrow harbour. It's know locally as The Needle and is situated on the beach in the small village of Rampside. It's difficult to know how to make a good picture out of this but here's my best shots.
