Small steam attraction

A local attraction nearby to me is a small steam railway. Here is one of the trains approaching the level crossing.

I think this is the train that runs around Docklands.

It is indeed Korky. Me & the family had a little ride on board too, but I took the opportunity to snatch a shot from trackside later.

 

We also went in the museum and workshop, and in the latter, was an intriguing option for folks with cameras...

Thanks John. I don't bother with trains much, but today was a special offer day for residents of PR2 in Preston, half price admission. Seemed silly not to take the chance.

It's a lovely composition and well shot. The shame (for me) is that due to the loco being the wrong way round, you can't tell if the train is coming or going. Nothing you could do about that, of course!

You're dead right. The event is not one of the majorly advertised ones, but they ran the loco 6 times, and I fancy, facing the wrong way each time...

I assume the loco is 'pulling' not 'pushing', otherwise the driver would not have a good view ahead!

It pulled out of the station, travelled about a mile and a half, then pushed back! There was another engine though on t'other end!
