Frogs have been in the pond...

I haven't heard any croaking - but the evidence suggests the warm weather has stoked froggies fire...

ooooooh..exciting times are a coming...lol

 

We had frogs in our pond once and all the spawn got sucked up the fountain pump the first time I switched it on after winter...! Don't have a pond anymore, but I do fill (already done actually) a huge shallow paddling pool up for the summer and stand pots and tubs of flowers all around it, brings in loads of butterfly's and dragon flies...

It's strange... I've come across frogs spawns dozens of times, but I've only seen Toads spawn maybe a couple of times. Toads don't usually spawn in small garden ponds, they prefer large ponds and lakes. I spend far more time at lakes and large ponds than I do at garden ponds, so one would have thought I would see more Toads spawn... seems a bit strange to me.
