Such a great sight to see...and hear these iconic aircraft.....Were you expecting to see  it  or was it fortuitous that you had your camera with you Rye ?

It was part of the Jubilee celebrations on the ELR so it was expected. They also had a Spitfire flypast on the Sunday

Excellent shot! I was hoping to get some pictures of the flypast, but it didn't work out: I went to Hanningfield reservoir hoping that at least something would fly over close by, but I literally saw the whole flypast, just as dots on the horizon... oh well, never mind: I'm going to be at RIAT next month and they'll all be a lot closer there

Thanks, to be honest I was very lucky to get this shot, I only had my 24-105mm lens and by accident my camera got set to a Manual Mode
