Remembering Korky ...

I saw in my diary today that it is two  years  today on the 9th February since  I received the sad news that Korky   had  died  quite suddenly   and  I remember how shocked  we all were at his passing . I miss his  banter and  memorable  images  now as much as  I did in those first few months.  He really did leave  a huge space on the Forum  and I just wanted to register that I remember him  today especially  with much affection  and with a slight feeling that I want to clip his ear for  flippin' leaving us so soon .  I miss ya Lord Korkington ...x

My sentiments too.

There are so many names of people that were here when I joined. That they no longer post makes me wonder their fate over the years . I often wonder if relatives never know login details or are not themselves savvy enough on the internet to inform members of those forums of their passing.

I think maybe both scenarios apply Denis ... it's  probably a common occurrence  where people are only internet acquaintances and never actually meet up  ...   The fact that a number of us have met up on photo meets   means  that we usually have email and phone number connections other than just  the  Forum . The downside of  the internet is that  often, people actually  don't know each other  for real and only know what they  read about someone ... and sadly it is often fake stuff especially on Social media ...  Anyway  what we do know is that Steve ( Korky ) was as real as they come  ... and he loved eating cake ....Here's to the memories 🍻
