Something else.............Has discovered our 'food source'. Now a regular visitor to the area below the now wrecked bird table, (thanks to our rather large Muscle Man!), where we put out a book of hay every night for the roos. Taken from the window yesterday arvo:

Looks like a hare in the first shot Dee, and a bunny in the second - which would you say it is?

Chris.... in the large versions look at those small spots in it's left ear and you can tell it's the same animal.... I'm not sure whether it's a Rabbit or an Hare as it's an Aussie.

I'd spotted it was the same animal John - but in the first picture it's got the characteristic big eyes, ears and small face of a hare (can't see if it has long legs) while in the second it's got the small eyes and big pouchy head of a rabbit. So I'm still not sure.

It's a bunny!!

He just sat with his ears up a bit straighter when I got the first shot. We do have a couple of hares around,  but we never get close and they are both 4 times bigger than this guy :D

Just been looking at all the pictures I took, and I think that big left cheek is some sort of swelling - perhaps that's why he's taking the 'easy' way to get food. He may not be around long!!

I think you could be right Dee!  When you said about it packing it's cheek pouches I thought that was strange as I'm certain rabbits don't have them. I didn't say anything at the time as I didn't know if your rabbits might be different to the ones over here.

Hahaha!! No, sorry, Fuzzy - we have an area of our block that we refer to as the 'rabbit hill', and it is well populated! Besides - you wouldn't want to see our toilet seat - a composting loo, fitted in to what was a broom cupboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
