After Dark

Came home from work this evening and discovered that the standard lamp wasn't working, so I had a brew and set out for Homebase to get a new energy saving bulb. It was windy and bitterly cold but I took my camera with the 35mm f1.8 with the iso still set at 1600 from the weekend shoot just in case. I parked up on the promenade and quickly took a couple of dozen shots before deciding it was too cold to continue.

These boats were chained to their trailers which in turn were chained to the railings, the new year storms had thrown them around a bit but the chains held. Taken at 1/25

The sea was relatively calm tonight. This was a 3 sec exposure holding the camera on a rock against the gusting wind

You may have noticed that I've put a watermark on these pictures. I've never seen a reason to do this before today, but I was contacted by a friend of a friend who would like to use some of my pics on his website. I agreed with the proviso that I am credited for them.

......... Is there subject matter you don't excel at?  :hope:

Oh yes, I only post the photos that are ok. I never post the hundreds and hundreds, even thousands of pictures that are not worth a second look

I keep coming back to this set Martyn, the first two are absolute winners.......I admire your determination......night shooting is something I haven't ventured into yet.......we don't have the coastal scenery that you and BP have.
