Swans...

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and I can see very nice shots added, though is not easy at the suggestion of some of you, here's my first photo shared with Uk Photography IPF community.

Feel free to add any constructive comments at any of the photos I add. I believe that's how I learn and can see the world through somebody else' mind lens :)

Thank you.Swan1010.JPG

Alright, I'm promising myself that this would be the last one added on this topic. Have few more shots on my website and public fb and google pages, but I've been told not that I'm not to upload or mention any links until I reach at least 30 posts, so will wait for that threashold to be reached in order to conform with the forum's admin guidelines.

Thank you for your comments,

Regards, Stan Photography.

refreshing to see a different take on the normal swan picture, love the way you have used the light to show off the feather detail in them and to catch the water droplets in no 2

they are all lovely images but if i had to pick one i would go with no 3 the swan is clear in its detail and yet the light is soft and the reflections are good

I am with Chris on the 1st one, but I love the composition and the way the sunset light is caught on the swan's feathers in #2 and the water droplets add a great touch of interest, I just think the reflection would have been better if it wasn't cut off at the bottom. Other than that I love the light in them all, well done - a great set :)

I much prefer the uncropped #6 to the crop in #4. There's something about seeing the grandeur of the lake, but the swan is still strong enough as a subject.

I think #5 would be improved by seeing the whole reflection? It's otherwise a good picture.

I like the mandarin duck, but opposite to what I said about the swan lake shot - the duck is so exotic that I feel a tight close-in shot might be better?

Just my opinion.
