A difficult image to take, as there will be some that would offer that the backdrop could have been blurred out, by using a higher aperture, this would have really enhanced the Autumness in the image, with the front of the image being bronzed with the fallen leaves

The crop is "VERY" tight, so the eye cant wander too much.. but the detail in the image really makes up for that..

As said a very difficult image to offer advise on, or critique, I think its really good,

fuzzy the first one is a nice image, but the 2nd one really does it for me ! The figure appears to have a slightly distainful, cold look on his face and with the material that the statue is made from looking so cold too it just really works !

I always understood that Yorkshiremen are tight buggers, but never really saw them as tight croppers.

You woudnt believe how tight we can get

If I can manage the entrance fee (looking into parking 2 mile away and coming across country) to Lotherton hall I will enquire who the sculpter was and how it got there, didnt have time Tuesday as we were attending a lecture on Victorian dress and the reformation All I know about it is that its a japanese influence like a lot of the pottery in the house, as you would expect from a victorian / edwardian abode It is a hollow bronze probably lost wax casting and it is suffering a bit of damage to the horn on the right and a left front leg, which has been replaced by a bit of hairy 4 x 2 (heathens)

The harsh blur on the leaf in the first image of the plaque does spoil the image a tad, where it could have been held away etc..

All joking aside, the tight cropping takes away any depth in an image

The plaque is only there for my referance because I cant remeber anything I could have wrote it out for Korky but its easier this way

Tight cropping is what I do
