Rocks

Black Pearl

A week off and its vile out - typical.

Still, I took the dog down the beach and while my head was down warding of the horizontal rain I spotted a couple of nice looking rocks.

Back home, coffee machine on, heater running full blast in the conservatory and out came the camera.

My mate is borrowing my macro lens for the Nikon so these were taken with a Pentax 55-200mm on the K30 - pretty much as close as it would focus.

The first is two shots stitched together hence the strange OOF area to the top left.

Both good, but the second shot is a real winner.

( Damn!........You have beach to walk in bad weather......I just get town roads, and a small park........the fields are just too slippery for old legs.......just got back from a two miler, nothing but drizzle all the way round. :-( )

Hmmmmmm

Still prefer the mono one - but thats me - though I do like the unusual colours....kind of the reason I picked up the rock.

It's sitting on a granite placemat by the way not water. Our dining room table has granite panel....don't ask...and these match.

Actually, I like them both, but I think I'd want to see some added grain in the conversion?
