The darn thing was shifting fast and to get a focus lock on its head and get all its tail in was quite challenging

It kept sticking its bum down a hole in the fence, head up in the air bent in two with its ovipositor (the long bit at the back) up in the air

I assume it was looking for larve in the rotton wood but when it wasnt doing that it was shifting over the surface of the fence like a burgler on speed

wonderful stuff fuzzy, I really like shot one as the wee beastie really stands out...I love ichneumons, so many shapes and sizes, I nearly died when I found my first one, never had a clue what it was!
